About Us
GCBH is an entity formed by an inter-local agreement between Asotin, Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Garfield, Kittitas, Klickitat, Skamania, Walla Walla, Whitman, and Yakima Counties, each a county authority recognized by the Secretary of Department of Social and Health Services. These counties entered into an inter-local agreement to allow GCBH to contract with the Secretary pursuant to RCW 71.24.025(13) to operate a single managed system of services for persons with mental illness living in the above listed counties including the Yakama Nation. GCBH receives Federal and State funds to provide medically necessary mental health services for persons who meet State-approved criteria and for whom services are medically necessary and clinically appropriate.
